In Sep. 2025, Mr. Ho Duc Phoc, Deputy Prime Minister of Vietnam, met with Dr. Typhoon WEN, Chairman of VTeam Group, Mr. Le Van Dai, General Director of Viettel Digital Service (VDS), Mr. Vo Anh Tam, Deputy General Director of VDS, and their delegation at the Prime Minister’s Office. The high‑level meeting focused on advancing China-Vietnam trade cooperation through international financial services, marking a new phase in VTeam’s strategic development in the ASEAN region, especially in Vietnam.

Vietnam has emerged as China’s largest trading partner within ASEAN, with the bilateral trade transactions exceeding US$200 billion for four consecutive years, which places increasing demands for financial services on cross-border transactions.

During the meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister of Vietnam welcomed Dr. WEN’s delegation and commended VTeam’s sustained commitment to fostering bilateral economic cooperation and contributions to Vietnam’s economic development. He highlighted the Group’s innovative applications of supply chain finance services, especially in the agricultural industry, noting that channeling capital to support farmers and agricultural development holds great significance to Vietnam’s livelihoods and economic growth.

The Deputy Prime Minister also voiced his support for VT Finance, the first China-Vietnam supply chain fintech platform co-launched and operated by VTeam Group, a globally leading fintech investment group, and VDS, the digital finance arm of Viettel Group – Southeast Asia’s largest telecom operator. He expressed hope that supply chain finance would help boost Vietnam’s export trade, urged closer collaboration between the platform, the State Bank of Vietnam, and leading commercial banks, and pledged corresponding government policy support.

Dr. WEN thanked the Deputy Prime Minister of Vietnam for his recognition and elaborated on the Group’s strategic roadmap and financial service capabilities across global and ASEAN markets. He reaffirmed Vietnam’s role as a key strategic pillar for the Group’s ASEAN expansion, expressing strong optimism about its future growth.

Dr. WEN noted that VTeam leverages its market‑leading trade‑finance technology platform and cross‑border financial services to help Vietnamese businesses explore to China market and worldwide. Working with global partners, the Group supports key sectors in Vietnam, such as agriculture, with a broad suite of financing solutions and facilitates Chinese companies’ expansion into the Vietnamese market as well.

This meeting marks a new chapter for VTeam. We will continue to expand our financial cooperation ecosystem in Vietnam and provide targeted support to key sectors, adding new momentum and value to trade and investment opportunities across Vietnam and ASEAN.
